BREAKING NEWS

ROOMBA ARTIST CAUGHT WITH PANTS DOWN,ARMS UP, SECRET TECHNIQUES REVEALED

Hey, this is Cathy Quinn, long time Roomba fan, first time account hijacker, bringing you my first expose targeted at the crew behind the pretty neat comic.

In this first edition, I will be outing one of cyduc's secret drawing techniques that he uses: monkies

Here you can see Rachel as drawn in

Here is a snapshot I took while perusing cyduc's computer via satellite uplink page 6.5 of chapter ten. Notice the similar shapes and poses and here:

We can notice a one monkey sector to 2 Rachel sector ratio. From this we can deduce that Rachel is about twice as big as your average lemur.

So, for you aspiring artists out there, remember...monkies.

Ciao,
CQ

My, my...

My, my...this is interesting. Roomba's dad was searching for his Belgian waffle maker in the attic when he stumbled upon this picture. The back reads "The Derbyshires - 1908". Make of it what you will.

On a more technical note, there has been a bit of a gap between chapter 6 and chapter 7, but I assure you that this is not a hiatus and that we are alive. Mr. Cuduc is trying out a new method for making this comic. He is arting this chapter assembly line style. Penciling every page before he inks every page before he tones the pages before he does whatever else he does to the pages. I dunno, I'm not an artist. Anyway, things are moving smoothly and there should be no more long down time between chapters once chapter 7 gets runnin'.

This is what happens when...

So our most recent round of updates proves how bad we are at this whole productivity thing. Redid some chapters, got bored with that and then we moved on to chapter uh...six. We're still discovering a good process for doing this comic thing, and you guys are great for sticking with us. So great.

So we are continuing on with the Roomba saga. The coming chapters promise new friends, new foes, love, hate, dark pasts, and tons of appliance drama.

Dragon Cheeezicken

Hey ya'll me and cyduc just got back from otakon with our ice cold water and stupid anime figures. More stuff will come soon after we, you know, catch up on all the sleep we missed. Short news just to update

The Lunar Optical Tree

Lotta new stuff happening, which I will tell you about starting with the newest and going down to the oldest. This order also happens to be from least interesting to most interesting.

Newest: New Roomba Facebook page! Man, we're selling out so hard. There's a like button under the banner now, check it for status updates from Roomba herself.

Least newest: Roomba has been nominated for two awards in this years Smackjeeves awards. We've been put up for "Most Misleading Comic" and "The WTF Award". Pretty fitting, I think. A big thank you to everyone that put our name int he minds of the award committee, but your job aint done yet. Once it's available, I humbly ask you to vote for Roomba to win these awards. Make it a present for our...less than a year anniversary.

I'm not one to believe in magic

Hey y'all, just an update on what's going on. Cyduc is busy as a bee drawing the revised chapter one. It's going slower than we thought, but I think we're past most of the huge roadblocks. After that's done, we'll send it out to be printed into a nice neat book, should be fun. That being said, how many out there would pay about 5 bucks for a roomba book that includes some extra stuff?

On another note, how many of you live on the east coast and will be attending Otakon this year? It would be lots of fun to meet with other smackjeevers, mostly those who like Roomba because, let's face it, you guys are the best.

We didn't get this far by thinking ahead

Just some quick updates on what's going on. After this chapter, Roomba won't be updating for a while. Cyduc and I have had one dream. A dream to make a living doing nothing. Since we consider making comics having fun and doing nothing, we've decided to go ahead and start the process of trying to get Roomba published. I sure hope we don't have to change the name to avoid legal things >.>...

We're going to finish this chapter and then Cyduc is going to redraw just about everything in that outdated medium of pen and paper(possibly marker and pencil too, I dunno, artists are weird. That being said, I'm going to try and put a stick up his ass to make him update our other comic, itsuki because it's the first time I've been ahead in writing, and I don't like it.

I saved this part for last because I want it to be the most memorable part of this post. A big super special shout out to Raine-chan who has suggested that roomba be nominated for best black and white and best comedy in the SJ Awards 2011. That's a great big heaping helping of creative fuel right there.

Keep on roomba...ing!

So it has come to this

Well hey there! I just found out today that I have the flu for the first time in my, at least conscious, life. Not a cool thing, I've been sick for the last week in ways that I won't subject you to. For the next 24 hours, as per doctor's orders, I will be ingesting nothing other than cough syrup, antibiotics, and ginger ale. Party time, right?

In other news, we more or less have an established release schedule. For now it is Thursday, Friday and Saturday, as those are cy duc's days off from work. That's probably gonna change soon because I hear some stuff's going on with his job, stuff that will get him more money. What a sell out.

The final thing I want to do is give an extra big special thanks to millionsofpeaches for giving Roomba a nomination-suggestion in the Smackjeeves Awards 2011 for best comedy. Putting this around-three month old baby against these other comics that have been established for a year or longer is a great vote of confidence and a great source of motivation for us as creators.

Well, that's enough of that. Keep looking forward to more Roomba~
